Finishing & Sealing
For a neat and durable finish
For a neat and durable finish, the smart film can be sealed with a neutral silicone sealant suitable for glass.
Important
- •Use only neutral silicone
- •No acetic acid (acetoxy) sealant
- •Sealant must not come into contact with the busbar or electrical connections
Cleaning & Maintenance of Smart Film
Low maintenance with the right products
Smart film is low maintenance and can be easily cleaned with the right products. Correct cleaning extends the lifespan and maintains the clarity of the film.
Allowed for cleaning
- Soft microfiber cloth
- Lukewarm water
- Mild, non-abrasive cleaner
- Glass cleaner without ammonia or alcohol
❌ Do not use
- ✗Abrasive sponges or cloths
- ✗Solvents (acetone, thinner, turpentine)
- ✗Alcohol or ammonia-based cleaners
- ✗Steam cleaners
- ✗High-pressure cleaners
⚠️ These products can damage or dull the film.
🪟 How to clean the film correctly
🔁 Regular light cleaning is better than intensive scrubbing.

- •Do not clean directly over busbars or electrical connections
- •Avoid excessive moisture at the edges
- •Do not use sharp objects on the film
⚠️Liability: Damage due to incorrect cleaning or aggressive cleaners is not covered by warranty.
